Your Hotel Isn’t Just a Place to Sleep—Here’s Why It Matters More Than You Think

There’s a moment in almost every trip planning conversation where someone says, “We really just need a place to sleep—we won’t be in the room that much.”

And I get it. Travel is about being out in the world—exploring, eating, wandering, experiencing.

But here’s the truth I’ve learned, both personally and as a travel advisor:

Your hotel doesn’t just support your trip—it shapes it.

It sets the tone for your mornings, the ease of your afternoons, and the feeling you carry with you long after you leave.

You Don’t Need a Plane Ticket to Have a Great Vacation

Why staying closer to home might be exactly what you need right now

There’s something undeniably special about boarding a plane. The anticipation, the change of scenery, the feeling of being somewhere completely different.

Why an African Safari Is Truly a Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience: A Snapshot of My Safari Experience

This blog post has been years in the making. There are trips you enjoy… and then there are trips that stay with you forever.
For me, going on safari was one of those rare travel experiences that completely changes the way you see the world.

Two years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to South Africa’s Madikwe Game Reserve and stay at Madikwe Safari Lodge. We stayed in the Lelapa Camp. It was a large group trip with my husband’s family, which made the experience even more special and I am so lucky to have been a part of this adventure. Being able to share something so extraordinary with family—watching wildlife together, recounting sightings over dinner, and waking up before sunrise (most of us) for another adventure—made the memories even richer.

If you’ve ever wondered whether a safari lives up to the hype, I can confidently say: it absolutely does.
